Welcome to 2024

As we find ourselves taking our first steps in the new year, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for following me on this journey so far and to reflect on our year. Together, we experienced remarkable moments: from organizing our inaugural adventure tour in Puerto Rico to showcasing a documentary in Belfast and inaugurating Ángel Rafael Productions at our new West Art Lanc office—a space designed for performances and creativity.

Looking ahead, I am excited about the upcoming year and have plans to host concerts and shows at our new location. If you're based in Philly, Lancaster, or Baltimore, feel free to send over your EPK. A look back into 2023- February

Let's start with February! Many of you are aware of the Snow Geese migration, where massive numbers of birds briefly stay in a lake or pond. Well, last year, the snow geese decided to rest in a pond near my dad's house, creating an epic spectacle! Check out the video proof below.

March

March was pivotal for Ángel Rafael Productions, marking my first trip as a tour guide to my motherland of Puerto Rico. This trip was taken before my LLC was established, but it was a big confidence booster, affirming that I have something to offer and can make a decent living doing it. Here are some cool photos from that trip:

April

I spent a total of three weeks in Puerto Rico, exploring with a local poet named Ká during the third week. We talked about art, poetry, music, and immersed ourselves in the island's beautiful nature. Even though I just released this video last week, I recorded it in April. It was my first time visiting the island of Culebra and my first time swimming with turtles!

May

May proved to be a challenging month, as I simultaneously got my LLC for Ángel Rafael Productions and found out I was being laid off from my teaching job. Full of ups and downs, to say the least. Here's a photo of one of my favorite photographers at his and his wife's baby shower:

June

Approaching my last days at my school, I was incredibly enthusiastic. I knew my life would be changing. I made a few investments in equipment to take advantage of that salary money that would be leaving me. It really was the moment I embraced adventure:

I welcomed Ká to Lancaster, PA. Her newly published book by Editorial Pulpo has been making waves in Puerto Rico, Colombia, and the USA.

August

Chasing the August supermoon. Adventure has firmly grasped my heart and the direction of my photography.

The Ángel Rafael Productions soft open at West Art Lanc was an incredible success with lots of friends, business partners, and family.

October I officially entered the last year of my 30s and spent late fall building stronger relationships with my family and friends.

In conclusion

There are many great things to be thankful for from last year. It was one of the most productive years I've ever had. I'm entering this year as an artist, but with a shade of entrepreneurship, a small business, and the hope that I can make art something that is able to sustain a living!
